Made it to the hotel room around 2 and got our rooms. I'm in a room with Jenny and Emily.
Changed money over, 1 US Dollar = 560 colones.
The group split up, and I went with George. We went to the last place you want to go when you're on vacation: the hospital. One of George's high school friends, Jose, is a doctor there. We got a tour and discussed all of the differences between the US medical and the Costa Rican medical care. The privacy was almost none, if you were well enough to sit in a chair holding your IV bag you did so. We got to go in the surgery rooms with no prepping and learned that getting organ donors is extremely difficult because most Costa Ricans don't understand the medical aspect and just want their family member back whole. The hospital treats you for free, whether you are Costa Rican or not, though they will try to charge you, but you can say you have no money and they treat you.
Dinner in a few then shower and bed. Wake up time...4.15 am.
