Getting ready for bed-absolutely exhausted!
Went back out to the beach during high tide, 3 of the 5 of us got a few jelly stings.
Did an inquiry with Robbins today based on termites and leaf cutter ants. Afterwards we went monkey hunting because we head the howlers, but we ended up just finding the capuchins instead. They followed us for a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV22Ua3zwN4 There's a site you can find what the howler monkeys sound like! Creepy!
Dinner was fried rice with chicken, shrimp or fish and then banana foster for dessert. Later, a bunch of us played spoons, rather fruits by candlelight. After dinner we went on a herp walk-herpetological studies = amphibians. (IN THE DARK!) We found a ton of huge spiders, grasshoppers, tree frogs, little lizzards. Tree frogs and butterflies were amazing. Laura and I got freaked out when we heard large rustling nearby and we were a few steps away from the others. I almost had a heart attack when an animal came through, but it was just Tara, the dog.
Shower was better than I expected and now time for bed, yes before 21.30-we've been up since 4 am! I'm a little scared to sleep with the creepy howler monkeys right above our tent, but I'm a big girl.
