After lunch yesterday we took an hour and ten minute death march each way through the depths of hell in the jungle to get to a bat cave. After crawling through guano, a shower was absolutely necessary.

Played a few games before and after dinner. My back was bothering me a ton. Bed at 20.00 then wake up at 6.00. Did some bird watching and identification beore breakfast then went out with Paul to survey understory species diversity. It took like 2.5 hours. Lunch was rice and beans (get out! no way!) with chicken and beef.

After lunch we went with Steven to do some herping in 8 x 8 plots in the jungle. found 2 strawberry poison dart frogs!

Some pancake like thing and guess what? beans and rice was for dinner. Then we had the lecture by stephen whitfield on amphibian declines and then finished packing before bed.

Some people are starting to get annoyed with each other, but its a miracle that it even lasted this long! And it stopped raining for a total of 3 hours today...but its back!
